Unlocking the full potential of BtoB and BtoC data intelligence with Datadrive Solutions.
In 2017, in coordination with the product owners and managers at IDAIA Group, I played a key role in revamping the Datadrive SaaS solution developed by Cartégie. This new version was structured around five modules within the same suite, which could share information with each other or operate independently.
My contributions included:
Revolutionizing data intelligence
Datadrive is a cutting-edge data platform developed by Idaia Group, designed to empower businesses with over 50 million up-to-date and structured BtoB and BtoC contacts. Despite its robust technology, the interface had become outdated and lacked proper ergonomics. The goal was to completely overhaul the existing product and create 5 interconnected modules, each complementing one another. This new structure allows for seamless cross-functionality of data and features between the modules.
Research and definition of visual identity elements
The research phase was crucial, as it involved defining a modern and cohesive visual identity that could be applied across all 5 products. Numerous logo boards and color tests were created to arrive at the final version. The use of gradients, waves, and bright colors posed a challenge, as it was essential to ensure the logos' readability across all mediums.
Wireframes, Discovery, and UX Research
The wireframes were the starting point for designing the screens. I participated in the creation of wireframes and took part in the discovery phases and UX research to better understand the user journey. This allowed me to identify the essential needs of the users for upcoming releases, ensuring that the UX screens were designed optimally, even though I did not collaborate directly with UX designers.
Landing Pages for each module
For each of the five modules, I designed a dedicated landing page that clearly highlighted its key features and benefits. These pages were crafted to provide an intuitive user experience, ensuring visitors could quickly understand the purpose and value of each module. In addition to the content, the design followed the visual identity established for the entire suite, maintaining consistency across all modules. This included the use of cohesive colors, typography, and imagery that aligned with the overarching branding, creating a seamless experience for users navigating through the platform.
UI for the Aware module
I designed the user interfaces for the Aware module, which focuses on delivering actionable data insights and analytics for businesses. The main page of this product is a comprehensive dashboard for consulting a company’s data. I created a modern and intuitive experience, aiming to help users navigate complex data easily. I paid close attention to the flow of information, ensuring users could quickly interpret and act on the data. Additionally, I designed the user journey to ensure a seamless experience, from data visualization to decision-making tools.
UI for the Lead module
For the Lead module, I designed the user interfaces with a focus on managing and generating prospects. The main page features a dashboard that presents key statistics and performance data, with a strong emphasis on clarity and usability. I worked to display lead data in an intuitive way, helping users quickly understand the information they need to make informed decisions. The user journey was designed to ensure smooth navigation through the different stages of lead management, from prospecting to follow-up actions.
UI for the Map and Market modules
The Map and Market modules have interfaces that differ from the rest of the suite, as they focus on geolocation services and market insights. I designed the Map module to present data through an interactive mapping solution, integrating various menus, toolbars, and wishlists to help users navigate and analyze geographical data. For the Market module, I focused on presenting market trends and competition through a comprehensive and intuitive dashboard. Both modules feature dynamic visualizations and tools that empower users to explore and make sense of complex location-based and market data, all while ensuring a smooth and user-friendly experience.
A unified approach to interface design
The need to implement a design system for developers became apparent early on in the project. To ensure consistency across the 5 modules and facilitate collaboration with developers, creating a design system was identified as the most effective solution. This design system consolidated the core components of the modules and provided a clear set of guidelines to follow, ensuring smooth transitions in case the project was handed over or for the development of future releases. It also streamlined the process of updating and exporting assets for developers, making it both easier and more secure.
